The Cosmopolitan Resort opened its doors on Wednesday December 15, 2010 with one heck of a party. The festivities kicked off with about 800 invited guests enjoying a pre-opening party and able to experience the resort before it opened its doors to the public. The main attraction was a private concert by The Killers front man, Brandon Flowers at The Chandelier bar. The stunning 2 million Swarovski crystal chandelier, the largest in North America was an amazing backdrop to this stellar performance.
Here are a few of my recommendations to try at The Cosmopolitan:
PLACES TO EAT:
Blue Ribbon Sushi – Think of the best soul food ever, both American and Japanese, there is something for everyone here. The recipes are like those your grandma would make.
Scarpetta – Tasty Italian food that will leave your mouth watering for more. And what a view you will have of the Bellagio fountains while dining.
PLACES TO PARTY:
The Chandelier – This venue is a must see, and each of the 3 levels has distinct signature cocktails. You should get a designated driver so you can taste them all.
Marquee – The mega nightclub will blow your mind, from the dance floor to the private jacuzzi pools you can rent. They have thought of everything at this club
PLACES TO SHOP:
Stitched – This is the men’s shop with a twist of classic and contemporary all in one. The in-store tailor can make anything fit like a glove, and customize it just for your style.
Those are just a few of the phenomenal offerings they have. For all things Cosmopolitan, visit their official website http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com
The Cosmopolitan is like no other place on the World famous Strip, it’s a must see for locals and tourists alike. If you attended the opening night event or have been there since, please leave a comment with your review.
